Today is Dad's anniversary. I've spent much of the day messing around in the garden and weeding, at the plot. Tonight we'll raise a glass to his memory. Here he is, with our lovely Ed, at his own plot, a few years back.
Sweet perhaps, but not all that good for you.

That's so sweet Kate. I love the picture.
On our camping trip one of our neighbors was British. He lives in Green Bay Wisconsin now, but was from north of you (Cumb...something?) Cumbrian maybe. I should've written down so I could be correct.
Oh I love that photo! (((Kate)))
A handsome man.
Thank you my lovelies, I can now both miss him and celebrate his memory.
I have BIG plot news, in the shape of a scarecrow... I will try to post later. However, Mum is off to hospital today (assuming there's a bed for her!) so life may be busy. Will let you know how we go.
Penny hon, Cumbria, home of the English lakes (think: 'small puddles' by your standards) but also home to Wordsworth ("I wandered lonely as a cloud") and other poets. Plus Beatrix Potter (Peter Rabbit books). Lovely lovely area, only a little over an hour's drive from us.
K xxx.
