Today

We went to Costco (yup, we have them over here) to buy some supplies for the charity Annie does work for. We arrived too early! Surprisingly, to us anyway, they weren't opening until 10 am. So, we decided to go to the next car park and into a cafe for a coffee.

When we sat down with our goodies I said "Wait!" and made Annie hold fire on her coffee and apple cinnamon doughnut, whilst I took the following snap of our Krispy Kreme snack (yep, we have THEM here too).

(Mine was the Latte and the Coffee something-amazing doughnut.) :-)

Life has been so busy since we got home that I know I owe posts on the break and on the plot. I aim to catch up soon! Meanwhile, much love, K xxx.

Post!

Just now, I was sitting at the computer, playing daft games, as usual. I looked up and the Royal Mail van was drawing up outside our house, which means that a parcel is being delivered. This also means I race to the door to try to grab Millie before she goes totally bonkers with fury - lol. So, when I had picked up the wee barking thing, the postman slid a parcel through my cautiously opened front door and I dropped Millie (not literally) and grabbed the box, as Millie has been known to vent her anger on the mail itself. Unusually, we weren't expecting any parcels, so I looked with interest at the box. It was from PBabe! And it said Peeps!
What a lovely surprise :-)

Back home with Mighty Dog

The picture above shows the lovely flowers that were left at the condo for us, when we arrived in the US and we did really enjoy our trip Stateside.

However, we are now safely back in Blighty. We arrived back in the UK on Friday morning, very early and since then we have been cleaning up the house (we had some work done while we were away); tidying our garden and doing a bit at the plot and (mostly) just trying to get our time-clocks in order (i.e. sleeping at odd times). I'm finally feeling a bit more normal (whatever that means) today and am ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Mum is doing well and continues to make a decent recovery. She enjoyed all the company she had whilst we were away. Millie lost some weight and came back from her stay rather in need of a bath! However, she seems fine and we're really enjoying being back together as a pack. When we were away we spotted this ad and rather liked the look of that "Mighty Dog".

We were really happy to see Annie's family and the usual suspects over in Michigan, all well and happy. We had some snow, which caused some structural trouble for PBabe, but I think she has that under control now. However, quite a bit of the time the weather was really pleasant and we did some driving around and took some shots. I don't have all of those ready to go up yet, so there will be a catch-up post, later this week. Here's a robin, taken early morning outside the condo, just for starters!
