Back home with Mighty Dog

The picture above shows the lovely flowers that were left at the condo for us, when we arrived in the US and we did really enjoy our trip Stateside.
However, we are now safely back in Blighty. We arrived back in the UK on Friday morning, very early and since then we have been cleaning up the house (we had some work done while we were away); tidying our garden and doing a bit at the plot and (mostly) just trying to get our time-clocks in order (i.e. sleeping at odd times). I'm finally feeling a bit more normal (whatever that means) today and am ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Mum is doing well and continues to make a decent recovery. She enjoyed all the company she had whilst we were away. Millie lost some weight and came back from her stay rather in need of a bath! However, she seems fine and we're really enjoying being back together as a pack. When we were away we spotted this ad and rather liked the look of that "Mighty Dog".

We were really happy to see Annie's family and the usual suspects over in Michigan, all well and happy. We had some snow, which caused some structural trouble for PBabe, but I think she has that under control now. However, quite a bit of the time the weather was really pleasant and we did some driving around and took some shots. I don't have all of those ready to go up yet, so there will be a catch-up post, later this week. Here's a robin, taken early morning outside the condo, just for starters!

Tree has been cut up and my back yard still resembles a logger's yard. We decided that since the chainsaw was out that Leons would cut down a tree bordering the driveway as it seemed buggy and we are feeling a bit gun shy (so to speak). It was a good thing because once it way lying on the ground it was apparent the only thing holding it upright was about 1/2 layer around the outside. The whole center was mush. Someone's car and possibly the house were at risk. The contractor has not begun to repair damages, but it's just a matter of time I suspect. We had an absolutely lovely weekend weather-wise and most of Saturday was spent in the yard on clean up. Sunday was a day of food and biking at Levi's house. Dom and Taylor hunted Easter eggs in the backyard in the morning and L and I had a laugh watching the two run around trying to best each other. Love to you both.

Thank you for the update my lovely :-) I hope you can get all that wood sorted soon, and have the repairs completed!

Rain here today - back to Manchester weather then :-(

Lots of love, (and to the young ppl and L)

It is always good to get away for a bit, especially since it means coming home. Welcome back!

I am happy you are back home and reunited with your mighty dog. We'll be boarding B again soon to fly to New Jersey to visit Patrick and family.

Hate to leave Bentley, but Everett is 3 months already, so I need to see him.

(((Kate & Annie....welcome home)))

You DO need to see him.

We have to find a new place to board Millie next time as our beloved DDC (Doggie Daycare) is stopping doing boarding :-(

However, a friend of Mum's says she knows a nice place, so maybe the search won't be too bad.
